SJS Jet Washing Clean And Restore Process

The Clean

  • We start by brushing the awning/canopy to remove loose debris and dust
  • A light spray of water is used to dampen the awning/canopy ready for chemicals.
  • Specialist chemicals are then applied where needed.
  • This is followed by a deep clean with a low pressure hot water machine. 
  • Once the awning/canopy meets our high expectations of cleanliness we give a final rinse.
  • We finish by cleaning any windows or facade that has been splashed by the clean. 

 Waterproof Sealing

After cleaning a awning/canopy it is very important that it is protected. Awnings and canopies have a waterproof sealant when brand new but over time this wears away. This will happen through natural weathering and cannot be avoided. The result can be heavily stained and mouldy material as the awning/canopy will soak through and be left wet for long periods. We can help you avoid this by offering to apply a waterproof sealant to the material. After cleaning, we will return once the awning has fully dried and complete the waterproofing. 

Beware of companies who do not offer to waterproof your awning after cleaning as a untreated awning will very quickly deteriorate and will need replacing. 

Restoring the natural finish to your awnings waterproofing capabilities will extend the lifespan and keep your awning/canopy looking its best for longer. 

We recommend the awning/canopy be kept clean after waterproofing by having a regular low pressure wash. This will help to prolong the waterproofing properties.
